Unit 2 What should I do?Teaching material: Section A(1a-2c)of Unit 2, Book II, Grade 8, Go for it.Teaching aims and demands:1.Knowledge aims:words: keep out, play, loud, argue, wrong, out of style, in style,could, should, call sb. up, ticket, surprise, on the phone. Language points: want sb. to do sth. , enough money, argue with,out of style, call sb. up, the ticket to the ball game, on the phone.2.Ability aims: Learn to talk about problems. Learn to give advice.3.Emotion aims: Learn to care others and to solve problems.Teaching key points:1. Words and expressions. 2. Talk about problems and give advice.3. Learn the language points.Teaching difficult points:1. Use modal verbs could and should to make suggestions.2. How to give advice. Teaching methods: 1. Task-based teaching method2. Greetings and introduce the teaching goals.2. Enjoy a song, present the questions: In this song, can you find what my problems are? Who can give me some advice? Then write down the problems and advice on the blackboard.Step2. Presentation This activity introduces some new vocabularies.1. Show some pictures and learn language structures, then point out the key vocabularies.2. Ss look at the pictures and repeat after the teacher, then give the advice.Step3. Do 1a Show some sentences and do 1a.1. Ask students to explain in their own words what each sentence means.2. Then ask students to write the problems in Serious or Not serious columns.3. Check the answers.4.
