1、胡主席在第四輪中美戰(zhàn)略與經(jīng)濟對話致辭克林頓國務(wù)卿, 蓋特納財長,各位來賓,女士們、先生們,朋友們,Secretary Clinton, Secretary Timothy Geithner, distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen, dear friends, 時隔兩年,中美戰(zhàn)略與經(jīng)濟對話再次在北京舉行,中美雙方將共同探討,新形勢下如何推動 兩國關(guān)系向前開展.首先我對第四輪中美戰(zhàn)略與經(jīng)濟對話開幕表示祝賀,對遠道而來的美國朋友們表示歡送.Todayafter two years, anew roundof China-US Strategic and

2、EconomicDialogues (S&ED) has opened here in Beijing. During the dialogue, our two sideswill discuss waysto advanceChina-US relationsunderthe newcircumstances. I wish to extend congratulations on the opening of the fourth round of the S&ED and welcome to our American friends coming from afar.2021年我從奧

3、巴馬總統(tǒng)在倫敦會晤時商定,建立中美戰(zhàn)略與經(jīng)濟對話機制.三年多來,中 美戰(zhàn)略與經(jīng)濟對話,作為兩國級別最高,參與部門最多,討論議題最廣的機制,促進了兩國 高層戰(zhàn)略溝通,加深了對歷史戰(zhàn)略意圖和政策的了解,擴大了對中美關(guān)系開展方向的共識, 有利推進了互利合作,增進了兩國人民相互了解和友誼,豐富了兩國各領(lǐng)域各層次交流溝通. President Obama and I agreed to establish the S&ED when we met in London in2021. This is the highest-level mechanism between our two countries

4、 that involves the most extensive participation by our government departments andhas a most wide-ranging agenda. Over the past three years and more, the S&EDhas facilitated high-level strategic consultation between our two countries. We have increased understanding of each others strategic intention

5、s and policies and expanded consensus on the future course of China-US relations. The S&ED has given a strong boost to our mutually beneficial cooperation and contributed to mutual understanding and friendship between our two peoples.It has enriched exchanges and consultations between the two countr

6、ies in various fields and at various levels.在本輪對話中,希望雙方再接再勵,共同努力,既立足當(dāng)前又著眼長遠,推動中美戰(zhàn)略與經(jīng) 濟對話,成為兩國增強戰(zhàn)略溝通,增進戰(zhàn)略互信,促進戰(zhàn)略合作的長效機制,為建設(shè)中美合 作伙伴關(guān)系,不斷進行探索和實現(xiàn).I hope that the two sides will continue to make concerted efforts during this round of S&ED. We need to both focus on the present and look ahead to the future

We should make the S&ED a long-term mechanism for us to intensify strategic consultation, enhance strategic mutual trust and promote strategic cooperation, a mechanism that helps us explore ways to build China-US cooperative partnership.女士們、先生們,四十年前中國兩國老一輩領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人,用跨越太平洋的握手開啟了中美關(guān)系的 大門,開始探索不同社會制度、歷史文化、開

8、展階段的相處之道.四十年來,中美關(guān)系開展 的廣度和深度,遠遠超過了當(dāng)年人們的想像.Ladies and gentlemen, 40 years ago, the Chinese and American leaders of theolder generation opened the door of China-US relations with a handshake across the Pacific Ocean, and this started the process of exploring how our two major countries, different in so

9、cial system, history, culture and development stage, should treat each other. Today 40 years on, China-US relations have grown well beyond what people could have imagined at that time.一年前,我對美國進行了國事訪問.同奧巴馬總統(tǒng)就共同建設(shè),相互尊重,互利共贏的合作伙伴關(guān)系達成重要共識,中美分別是當(dāng)今最大的開展中國家和最大的興旺國家,中美關(guān)系持續(xù)健康穩(wěn)定向前開展,不僅能給兩國人民帶來實實在在的利益,而且將給促進世界

10、和平,穩(wěn) 定繁榮做出珍貴奉獻.A year ago, I paid a state visit to the United States and reached an importantagreement with President Obama on working together to build a China-US cooperative partnership based on mutual respect and mutual benefit. China and the United States are respectively the largest developing

11、country and thelargest developed country. The sustained, sound and steady growthof ourrelations will not only deliver real benefits to our two peoples but also makevaluable contributions to world peace, stability and prosperity.女士們、先生們,當(dāng)今世界經(jīng)濟全球化深入開展,科技進步日新月異,機遇和挑戰(zhàn)并存,各 國人民都期待21世紀成為人類歷史上第一個共享和平安寧,共同開展

We face both opportunities and challenges. People of al

13、l countries hope that the 21st century will be thefirst century in human history in which we can all enjoy peace, stability, development and prosperity.People believe that cooperationbetween Chinaand the United States will bring enormous opportunities to the two countriesand the whole world, while c

14、onfrontation between the two will bringgraveharm to all. Whatever changes may take place in the world and no matter howthe domestic situations in our two countries may evolve, China and the UnitedStates should be firmly committed to advancing the cooperative partnership and build a new type of relat

The world we live in is big enough for China, the UnitedStates and all other countries to achieve common development. Over the past30 years, since its reform and opening-up course start

20、ed, China has, throughthe hard work and wisdom of the Chinese people and win-win cooperation withthe people around the world, pursued peaceful development. This is the rightpath to development that we have embarked on. To follow the path of peacefuldevelopment is our strategic choice which we will n

22、f equality and mutual understanding. Given different nationalconditions, it is impossible for China and the United States to see eye to eye onevery issue. The two sides must know how to respect each other, be good atexpanding common ground and make the pile of our convergent interests bigger. We sho

23、uld approach our differences in a correct way and respect andaccommodate each others interests and concerns. We should properly managedifferences through dialogues and exchanges and by improving mutual understanding, so that these differences will not undermine the larger interestsof China-US relati

As an old Chinese saying goes, only by working diligently can one ach

25、ieve his goal and only by walking tirelessly can one reach his destination.We need to take solid and effective steps to implement what we have agreedupon. We should enhance practical cooperation in a wide range of areas, stepup coordination on regional and international issues, promote peace and sta

We should actively promote exchanges betweenChina and America from all walks of life and encourage greater public participation in the course

I am glad to know that the third meeting of China-US high-level consultation on people to people exchange will be held at the same time of the fourth round ofthe S&ED.
