IIII中式菜名的英譯方法探究摘要眾所周知經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化，國(guó)際交流日益頻繁。在中外交流中社會(huì)文化的交流是最直接與日常生活緊密相關(guān)的一個(gè)方面。其中飲食文化的交流尤其顯得注目。俗話說(shuō)民以食為天，中國(guó)的飲食文化源遠(yuǎn)流長(zhǎng)博大精深，在海外享有盛譽(yù)令外國(guó)朋友贊不絕口。在這種情況下，中國(guó)飲食的英譯顯得尤為重要。中國(guó)菜名無(wú)疑是讓外國(guó)人了解中國(guó)飲食文化的有效手段。這些菜名不僅反映了某道菜的一些基本信息，包括食材的種類、烹調(diào)方法、色、香、味、形等，還包含了許多文化元素，如菜肴的創(chuàng)作者、產(chǎn)地、吉祥詞語(yǔ)等。因此，正確翻譯菜名對(duì)于促進(jìn)不同民族之間的交流具有重要意義。然而事實(shí)上，以飲食文化的翻譯為對(duì)象進(jìn)行學(xué)術(shù)研究做得很不夠，而翻譯中式菜名的研究相對(duì)更少。本文通過(guò)研究中式菜名英譯中的難點(diǎn)和存在的問(wèn)題，以及中英飲食文化的差異。討論了中式菜名有效的翻譯方法和中式菜名的英譯應(yīng)遵循的基本原則。因此中式菜名英譯應(yīng)給予足夠的重視，從而使中國(guó)的飲食文化得到更廣泛的傳播。關(guān)鍵詞：中式菜名；英譯的難點(diǎn)和問(wèn)題；英譯方法；英譯原則IIABSTRACTAsisknowntoall,theeconomicglobalizationandinternationalexchangesareincreasinglyfrequent.InthecommunicationbetweenChinaandforeigncountries,thesocialandculturalexchangeisthemostaspectthatisdirectlyandcloselyrelatedtodailylife.Amongthem,thecommunicationoffoodcultureisespeciallyremarkable.Asthesayinggoes,foodisthepriorityofthepeople.Chinesefoodculturehasalonghistory,extensiveandprofound,andenjoysahighreputationoverseas,whichishighlypraisedbyforeignfriends.Inthiscase,theEnglishtranslationofChinesedietisparticularlyimportant.ThenamesofChinesedishesareundoubtedlyaneffectivemeanstomakeforeignersknowaboutChinesefoodculture.Thesedishesnotonlyreflectsomebasicinformationofadish,includingthetypesofingredients,cookingmethods,color,aroma,taste,shape,etc.Butthedishesalsocontainmanyculturalelements,suchasthecreatorofthedish,theplaceoforigin,auspiciouswordsandsoon.Therefore,thecorrecttranslationofdishnamesisofgreatsignificancetopromotethecommunicationbetweendifferentnationalities.However,asamatteroffact,theacademicresearchonthetranslationoffoodcultureisnotenough,andtheresearchonthetranslationofChinesedishesisrelativelyfew.ThisarticleexaminesthedifficultiesandproblemsintheEnglishtranslationofChinesedishnames,aswellasthedifferencesbetweenChineseandEnglishfoodcultures.EffectivetranslationmethodsforChinesedishnamesandthebasicprinciplesthatshouldbefollowedinEnglishtranslationofChinesedishnamesarediscussed.Therefore,theEnglishtranslationofChinesedishesshouldbegivenenoughattention,sothatChinesefoodculturecanbespreadmorewidely.Keywords:Chinesedishname;difficultiesandproblemsinEnglishtranslation;
