andotherorganismsthatcanlivethere.AttheheavilysealedMarienplatz,theresearcherscountedonly20species,
withjustonebirdandmossspeciesaswellasinsectsandbatspecies.Meanwhile,atPfrontenerPlatz,aspacewith
lawns,bushesandtrees,theyfound156taxa,including21differentkindsofbirds.AtJohannisplatz,118species
arepresent,asithastrees,hedgesandsomegrassyareasdespitebeingsealedtoarelativelylargeextent.
Unsurprisingly,moreplantsarebeneficialtomanyanimalspecies.Thisisafactorthaturbanplanning
modelsalreadytakeintoaccount.However,thestudyalsoshowsthatlawns,treesandbushesvarywidelyinterms

Theresearchersconcludedthatthechancesforgreaterbiodiversityareincreasedif,insteadofapplyingthe
