(to) do sth. “幫助某人做某事”。2)the same.as.是一個固定句式,the same修飾一個名詞,或本身就是先行詞時,后面的是關系代詞as引導的_,as在從句中作_。eg: You are the same person as I want to work with.2.The time when I first met Nelson Mandela was a very difficult period of my life.第一次見到納爾遜曼德拉的時候,是我一生中非常艱難的時期。剖析:The time 作句子的_,when I first met Nelson Mandela作為_,修飾time。was是系動詞;period作句子的_。課文后面還有一個同樣結構的句子:The day when Nelson Mandela helped me was one of the my happiest _ _ _ _這句話的結構呢?This was a time when one had got to have a passbook to live in Johannesburg.3.The last thirty years have seen the greatest number of laws stopping our rights and progress, until today we have reached a stage where we have almost no rights at all._.剖析:see在此句意為“見證,目睹”;(在某段時期)發(fā)生(某情況),經歷,經受; 為某事發(fā)生之時,此句的主語為時間 eg: The last few months has seen more and more traffic accidents. 某些動詞(see, find, witness等)主語有時不是人而是物, 即擬人用法, 使句子生動。1) Dusk (黃昏) found a boy crying in the street.2) Oct 1,1949, saw/ witnessed the foundation of the Peoples Republic of China.4. .we were put into a position in which we had either to accept we were less important, or fight the government.我們被置于這樣一個境地:要么我們被迫接受低人一等的現實,要么跟政府作斗爭。剖析:1) in which.部分是一個帶介詞的_從句修飾前面的名詞_。in which也可換為_。eg: Can you think of a position in which the word can be used?2) either.or.“要么要么”;“或者或者,”連接兩個并列謂語。5.Only then did we decide to answer violence with violence.【剖析】.only副詞/介詞短語/狀語從句置于句首,主句用部分倒裝形式 (即把主句的_提到主語前面)eg: Only then did I realize the importance of learning English.Only in this way can you solve the problem.Only when the teacher came in, did the students stop shouting.注意(1)如果句子為主從復合句,則主句部分倒裝,從句不倒裝。 (2)only修飾主語時,不用倒裝。 eg: Only her mother can help her to solve the problem.單項填空I failed in the final examination last term and only then_ the importance of studies.A.I realized B.I had realized C.had I realized D.did I realize6. It was a prison from which no one escaped .剖析:from which no one escaped是一個帶介詞from的_從句,修飾前面的_。escape from意為“_”。從例句中可看出,帶介詞的定語從句的關鍵是找準恰當的介詞。而介詞的選用主要是看與定語從句中的動詞的搭配關系和先行詞的搭配關系。7.
