2、eir listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. Our boys and girls areexposed to English for the first time, so it is very important to develop their keeninterest in English. I. Conten tS:Today I ' m going to talk about Part B of Unit 2, PEP Primary English, Book 3. This
3、 less on in cludes two parts : Let ' s talk and let ' s practice. In sect ion 1, it mai nly deals with the dialogue about“ What' s in the schoolbag? ” and the answers. And in section 2, itprovides a real situation for the Ss to prastise the pattern: How many +n.(pl.)+ do you have? And th
4、e an swer: I have 23 +n .(pl.)II. Teachi ng aims1. Aims on the kno wledge(1) To enable the Ss to understand and speak:“ My schoolbag is heavy. What ' s inThank you sooooooo much. ” Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in realsituati ons.(2) To help Ss to finish the survey.(3) Let Ss finish
5、the assessment of“ Let ' s check ” in this unit.2. Aims on the abilities(1) To develop Ss ' abilities of liste ning and speak ing.(2) To train the Ss ' ability of worki ng in groups.(3) To foster Ss ' abilities of commation and their inno vati on.3. Aims on the emotio n(1) To foster

8、ool is to cultivate pupils ' basic abilitiesisife ning and speak ing and their good sense of the En glish Ian guage. So in this less on I ' ll mai nly use -based Taach ing method. That is to say, I will let the Ss learn in real situations, finish a task by making a survey to help the Ss to g
9、et a better un dersta nding of the key structure of the dialogue. I will arra nge four kinds of activities: singing, guessing game, finishing a survey and having a competiti on. And in this less on a recorder, CAI, school things and a prin ted form will be n eeded. Stude nts should prepare some scho
10、ol thin gs.VI. Teach ing procedures and purposes of my desig ning.I ' II finish this less on in five steps.Step 1. Warm-up and preview1. Free talk betwee n T and Ss about things in the classroom.2. Sing the song together: Books and pen cils.3. Do some TPR, for example: Show me your En glish book
11、. Show me your cray on.4. Review the nu mbers by ask ing:“ How many cray ons do you have? ”Purpose: It is important to form a better English learning surrounding for the Ss by singing and doing some total physical response and at the same time it provides situati ons to review lear ned kno wledge fo
12、r the n ext step.Step 2. Prese ntati onNow I ' ll mainly talk about this step.1. Prese nt the patter n:“ My schoolbag is heavy. ”“ What' s in it?. ”(1) Show a bag and say:“ Look! I have a bag. ” Carry it and say:eavOHMjtis hschoolbag is heavy. ” Help the Ss understand the meaning with the he
13、lp of my bodyIan guage. Then lead the Ss to read the senten ce. Make sure they can say it correctly.(2) T: My schoolbag is heavy.Open the bag and say:“ What' s in it? WhatschBDioibiag? ”Take out a Chin ese book. Then do the acti on aga in. Let the Ss read the senten ce.2. Play a guess ing game.
14、Divide the whole class into four groups to have a competiti on.Let them guess: What' sin the bag? How many? Purpose: To present the key structures one by one is much easier for the Ss to learn and grasp the meanings. Proper competiti on can arouse the Ss' in terest in En glish lear ning.3. W
15、ith the help of the CAI to present the dialogue. Set a situation to help Ss un dersta nd: Two Ss are coming. One girl is carry ing a heavy bag on her back. Theyare talki ng.Girl: My schoolbag is heavy.Boy: What ' s in it?Girl: 20 story-books, 32 pen cil, 9 rulers, 12 cray ons and 30 picture-book
16、s. Etc.Boy: What will you do?Girl: They are for the poor.Boy: Great! I ' ll bring some school things too.The boy comes back home and puts a lot of things into the bag. Then he goes to school aga in and gives them to a teacher. While he is tak ing them out, he is counting the nu mbers of all thin
17、 gs. The teacher says: Thank you soooooooo much.4. Mention that we should take care of the poor.5. Play the cassette. Let the Ss listen and imitate the dialogue.Pay atte nti on to their pronun ciatio n and inton ati on. Purpose: CAI can provide a real situati on for the Ss to un dersta nd the dialog
18、ue and the relati on ships betwee n people better. Tell the Ss we should show our loveli ness to the Ss.Step 3. PracticeDivide Ss into groups of six childre n. Each one would finish the prin ted form by ask ing and answering: How many storybooks do you have? Find out which group finishes faster.
