Understand lets talk, and can talk about the things you can do by using the sentence patterns:A: can you ? B: Yes, I can. /No, I cant.(2)Ability aim: enable students to master the new words and sentences, and can use them in their daily life.(3)Teaching Emotion aim: Enable students to form the habit of paying attention to health and loving work. Meanwhile know the importance of cooperation in study.Teaching difficult points: Master and use the sentence “Id like to have a try?Teaching focus: Focus on the using of the target Language. A: can you ? B: Yes, I can. /No, I cant.Teaching and learning methods: Chant, ask and answer- method to involve students in class, then do performance to check the using of the target language.Teaching aids: Multi-mediaTeaching steps:Step1. Warming -up 1.1 Greetings. Hello, every one, my names Wu Lina. Today Im very happy to be your English teacher for this class. Nice to meet you. What day is it today? (Today is ) Write the words (Friday, Saturday) on the blackboard, ask the students: Can you spell it? (Ask students to spell the words out) today we are going to learn Unit 4 What can you do part B Lets talk.1.2 Lets chant of part A. at first lets chant. Sing the chant two times. Now, Im the housewife, I can sweep the floor, I can (guide students to say the phrases out according to my actions, meanwhile change the speed of my actions). I can do so much things, what can you do? (ask three to five students)Step 2.Presentation and Practice2.1. Present the new words2.11All of you did a good job, now look at the screen, lets see what can I do in my home. I can (Present the new words on the screen and write them on the blackboard, meanwhile ask students to read after me)E.g.: wash the clothes wash w-a-s-h wash Clothes c-l-o-t-h-e-s clothes2.12 Ask students to look at the screen, say the meaning of the picture, and chant it out. Look here, I can .read it after me. Now lets chant it. Wash the clothes; wash the clothes., (clap hands) Set the table; set the table, , 2.2. Present and practice the new sentence patternsI can wash the clothes, can you wash the clothes? (Show the new sentences on the blackboard, and ask three to five students to answer) A: Can you ? B: Yes, I can. /No, I cant.Good job, if we can do, we should say “yes, I can.” If I cant do, we should say “no I cant”. Can you set the table, how to write? Can you do the dishes, how to write? (Write can you set the table and can you do the dishes on the board, presents the two important sentences of lets talk, and ask students to read loudly.) Ok, the whole students are A, who get the toys, who are B. (Prepare two toys)the whole students toys A B the whole students toy A the whole students toy B2.3 Lets talk. Good job. Now, watch the video. (Play the video of lets talk. the fist time ask the students to watch, the second time ask students to repeat the sentence on by one) read lets talk in groups.Step 3 Production3.1 Group work. Ask the students to look at the picture, and make their dialogue by using the new sentences. The signs “smile” means you can do, and the signs “cry” means you cant do.A: Can you ? B: Yes, I can. /No, I cant.3.2 finish the chart. Talk with your partner, and finish the chart. Who would like to be my partner, ok this girl is my partner. Now you ask, and I answer. (Give some gesture to help the student to understand my sentence) 3.3 Interviews. Interview your partner: what can you do? And make you own dialogue.
