2、, meaning, discuss, promise, beginning, improve, physical themselves, hobby, weekly, schoolwork, agree, own ,personal ,relationship 2.要求學(xué)生掌握下列短語(yǔ)并能造句。.grow up, be sure about , be able to , at the beginning of , have to do with , agree with ,write down3.要求學(xué)生認(rèn)讀下列詞匯。 computer programmer, resolution, sel
3、f-improvement , The Old Man and the Sea Teaching and learning steps Step 1:Learn to read the words on P126-127.First students try to read the words using the phonetics by themselves and mark the difficult words.Then read the difficult words with their partners in groups.Next get some middle-level st
4、udents to read all the words and ask the good students to correct the wrong pronunciations. If necessary, the teacher corrects them.Read after the tape.At last students read aloud and the teacher walks around to offer pronunciation support as needed. Get some students to read again to see if everyon
5、e can read correctly. (設(shè)計(jì)意圖:通過(guò)學(xué)生自讀;組內(nèi)互讀互查;中等生讀;跟磁帶讀,達(dá)到正確熟練朗讀本單元生詞。在今后的教學(xué)中要繼續(xù)讓學(xué)生試讀單詞,鞏固和提高學(xué)生自學(xué)單詞的能力,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生個(gè)人識(shí)讀單詞的良好學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣,同時(shí)也能培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自主、探究和合作學(xué)習(xí)的能力。首先學(xué)生自己根據(jù)音標(biāo)識(shí)讀單詞,并標(biāo)出識(shí)讀時(shí)有困難的單詞。接著兩人一組或以小組為單位解決遇到的困難。然后找兩三位同學(xué)讀單詞,讓好學(xué)生先糾正,還有問(wèn)題,教師再更正。最后讓學(xué)生跟錄音讀。這樣能培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)和小組互助學(xué)習(xí)的能力,也能鼓勵(lì)沒(méi)過(guò)關(guān)的學(xué)生課前課后努力趕上。)Step 2 : Learn to remember wo

For example, I question students honesty.2合成詞 :將兩個(gè)或兩個(gè)以上的單詞合成在一起而構(gòu)成的新詞.self-improvement(自我提高): self(自我) + improvement(提高)schoolwork(學(xué)校作業(yè)) school(學(xué)校) + work(工作)3.派生即在詞根上加前綴或后綴構(gòu)成另一個(gè)與原意略有變化或截然相反的詞。分為兩類即后綴和前綴。education(教育): educate(教育)+ ionthemselves
11、(他們自己): them(他們) + selvesmeaning(意思): mean(意思是)+ingbeginning(開始): begin(開始)+ ningweekly(每周的):week(每周) +lypersonal(個(gè)人的):person(個(gè)人)+ alrelationship(不喜愛(ài)):relation(關(guān)系) + shipimprovement(提高):improve(提高) + mentengineer(工程師):engine(機(jī)械,機(jī)車)+er4.對(duì)比反義詞 disagree-agree (設(shè)計(jì)意圖:運(yùn)用轉(zhuǎn)換、合成、派生、對(duì)比等方法學(xué)習(xí)單詞,能降低學(xué)生記單詞的難度,也能使學(xué)
12、生舉一反三,極大的擴(kuò)充詞匯量。)四、Guess the underlined words according to the context.1. When we make resolutions at the beginning of the year ,we hope that we are going to improve our lives. Some people write down their resolution and plans. 2There are different kinds of resolutions. Some are about physical health
13、. For example,some people promise themselves they are going to start an exercise program or eat less fast food. Many resolutions have to with self-improvement.3. First give the students several minutes to try to memorize the words . 2. Then get the students to read the words by looking at the Chinese, t
16、hen look at the Chinese and say English.3. Next get students to work in pairs to spell the words or write down the words with the Chinese given in guide books. Underline the words they havent grasped.4. At last get the students to have a short dictation about the important words and phrases. If they
