Unit 2 Why dont you talk to your parents?Section B 教案一、教學(xué)目標(biāo) 1. 語(yǔ)言知識(shí)目標(biāo):1) 能掌握以下單詞:member, pressure, compete2) 能掌握以下句型: I think Wei Ming should Although you may be, you should talk to them. Life shouldnt just be about 2. 情感態(tài)度目標(biāo): 了解中國(guó)及一些其他國(guó)家中學(xué)生們普通存在的生活及學(xué)習(xí)上問(wèn)題,了解別人的生活現(xiàn)狀及他們苦惱,知道學(xué)習(xí)知識(shí)是很重要的事情,但它并不是生活的全部。二、教學(xué)重點(diǎn)1.能運(yùn)用所學(xué)的語(yǔ)言知識(shí)來(lái)簡(jiǎn)單地表達(dá)自己對(duì)某一困難問(wèn)題的看法和建議。2.總結(jié)本單元所學(xué)到的重點(diǎn)詞組及句型。3.復(fù)習(xí)總結(jié)unless, as soon as, so that等詞的用法,并能完成相關(guān)練習(xí)題。三、教學(xué)難點(diǎn)運(yùn)用所學(xué)的語(yǔ)言知識(shí)來(lái)表達(dá)自己對(duì)學(xué)生上課外輔導(dǎo)班這一社會(huì)現(xiàn)象的看法。 四、教學(xué)過(guò)程Step 1. Warming up 1. T: Show a picture of student. -Whats wrong with the girl? -Shes too stressed out. -What should she do? Can you give her some advice?2. Ss discuss the problem and give some advices: e.g.S1: Why not hanging out with her friends. S2: She could play sports. S3: She could play computer games. S4: She should listen to music and read some books. Step 2. Talking Let some Ss talk about their answers. S1: I always hang out with my friends to lower stress. S2: I like to listen to music to lower stress best. Step 3. Listening Work on 1c: 1. Tell Ss to read the sentences 1c first. 2. Play the recording for the Ss. Ss just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and check the problems Wei Ming talks about. 3. Check the answers. Work on 1d: 1. Let Ss read the sentences in 1d first. Tell Ss to listen again and fill in the blanks.2. Play the recording again for the Ss to listen and write. 3. Ss listen to the recording carefully and try to write the words in the blanks. 4. Check the answers with the class. Step 4 Thinking 1. T: There are some after-school activities. What activities do you and your classmates usually do? Let students check them. Do homeworkUse the InternetHave after-school lessonsHang out with friendsWatch moviesPlay sports or exercises2. Ask some Ss to say their choices. Step 5. Reading (1)Fast Reading1. T: Now lets work on 2b. First, lets read the questions and make sure we know the meanings of all the questions. Then read the passage quickly and find the answers to the questions. 1) What is the common problem for Chinese and American families?2) Who gives their opinions about the problems?2. Ss read the letter quickly and try to find the answers to the two questions. 3. Check the answers with the class. (2) Careful Reading 1. T: Now lets read these sentences about the letter. Read the passage again. Judge if the sentences are True or False. Please underline under the main sentences. 1) Chinese children have to take so many after-school classes on weekends these days. 2) Cathy Taylor really wants her three children to be successful, so she believes these after-school activities are important for them.3) Linda Miller thinks parents should send their small kids to all kinds of classes. 4) Linda thinks some parents push their kids too much. 5) Alice thinks kids shouldnt have time to relax and think for themselves2. Ss read the letter again and judge the sentences. 3. Check the answers with the class. Step 6 Homework1. Do you think its important for kids to join after- school activities? Why or why not? Discuss
