Language goals:1) Students are able to master the following words and phrases:2) Students are able to use the following sentence patterns:Are you/they eating?Yes,I am/No,I am not./ Yes,they are./No,they arent. Ability goals:1) To train students ability of speaking skill. 2) To develop the students sense of competition. 3) To foster s abilities of communication and their innovation.3.Moral aim:Let students remember: It matters not what you want to do, but what you are doing. 二、teaching key pointsTo learn new words and use present progressive tense to talk about sth.三、teaching diffcult pointsStudents are able to use the sentence pattern四、teaching methods .Listening and speaking teaching method,gaming method5、 teaching aidsTape 6、 teaching procedureStep 1 Greeting and warming upShow students a video about the present progressive tense. Students Watch a video and then answer the question.(設(shè)計目的:通過觀看此錄像后回答出5個現(xiàn)在分詞,直接引入到本節(jié)課所要講的重點語法-現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時。并復(fù)習(xí)其主要結(jié)構(gòu),使學(xué)生對此時態(tài)有更明朗的回憶)Step 2Revision: Game 1-Who has the quickest eyesTeacher tells the students the rule of the first game. Students play the first game-Who has the quickest eyes.T: Now lets play the first game. Lets see who has the quickest eyes. If you know the answer, please stand up and answer the whole sentence. (設(shè)計目的:通過第一個游戲來復(fù)習(xí)操練前面所學(xué)句型。讓學(xué)生站起來搶答,活躍課堂氣氛,并且改變學(xué)生老是坐著聽課的傳統(tǒng)模式教學(xué))Step 3 Lead-in1) Learning the new words2)Finish 1a:ask and answer.Whats the man doing? He is swimming in the pool.What are they doing?They are shopping in the supermarket.What are they doing?They are reading in the library. (設(shè)計目的:通過圖片和句型學(xué)習(xí)主要單詞和短語,這樣能使學(xué)生熟練掌握目標(biāo)語言,情境教學(xué)改變枯燥學(xué)單詞和短語的傳統(tǒng)模式)Step 4 Presentation1)Ask and answer:T: What is he doing? Is he playing the violin? Yes,he is./No,he isnt.T: What is she doing? Is she watching TV? Yes,she is./No,she isnt.T:What are they doing?Are they playing football? Yes,they are./No,they arent.(設(shè)計目的:通過圖片和問句使學(xué)生回答不同人稱的此時態(tài)的一般疑問句,為下一步的兩個游戲做好鋪墊。)2)Game 2- Guessing gameT:Now, lets play the second game- Guessing game. If you know the answer, you should put up your hand. And you must guess like this,” Is he/she ?”. Got it? Now, lets play it. Are you ready?T: Great! Lets begin.(設(shè)計目的:再次通過截圖猜測游戲鞏固現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時的一般疑問句,使學(xué)生正確運用be動詞與不同人稱的搭配。)Step 5 Listening practice and pairworkListen and complete the chart (the first time :finish 1c,then check the answers)Fill in the blanks (the second time : fill in the blanks of tapescipts and check the answers) Role-play the conversations. (Choose one conversation to practice with your partner. And then ask some pairs to show their works.)(設(shè)計目的:聽力練習(xí)設(shè)計不同梯度的任務(wù),把合作學(xué)習(xí)與自主學(xué)習(xí)相結(jié)合,學(xué)生都有機會練習(xí),并且通過結(jié)對練習(xí)來進(jìn)一步了解和掌握重點句型。)Step 6 Game 3 - Mime and guessT: Well, lets play a game-Mime and guess. Do you know miming? Well, I need a student to come to the front. Who would like to try?T: Good. You are so active today. He will play an activity and do the action. And your task is to guess what he is doing. You should guess like this,” Are you ? If their answer is right, you should answer, “Yes, I am.” If their guess is wrong, you should say,” No, Im not.” And if you know the answer, you should put up your hand. Understand?(設(shè)計目的:通過模仿猜謎游戲鞏固前面所學(xué)的內(nèi)容,訓(xùn)練學(xué)生語言的輸出能力。)Step 7 Writing practiceT:Congratulations! Well-done. Well, in our oral English test, we will meet this exercise-writing by looking at the pictures. Can you do this well? If you cant, dont worry. It doesnt matter.
